Features
CASE PT240 Pneumatic Tire Compactor
PRODUCTIVITY
Large, hot mix asphalt projects, surface treatments and soil stabilization applications can be tackled with confidence due to this machine’s versatile, eight-wheel design and wide compaction surface. Uneven surfaces are compacted via floating, oscillating front axles, and climbing ability (on grades up to 25 degrees) is provided through the turbocharged engine — even in high altitudes. Smooth operation and direction change is accomplished through hydrostatic steering and independent axles. More work time and productivity can be had due to high capacity water and fuel tanks. Smooth operation with easy direction and speed control are delivered through the chain-free, gear-driven power shift transmission. Ground contact pressures can be adjusted on the fly with the available air on-the-run feature.
FUEL EFFICIENCY
Meet current environmental standards and consume less fuel with Tier III-certified engines.
COMFORT/VISIBILITY
Intuitive operation is delivered through the automotive-style controls and dual operating positions. Operators stay informed on all vital information with the multi-function equipment displays that provide engine RPM, engine hours, fuel rate, voltage and more. Levers, controls and switches are easily accessed in the dual-station working environment.
SERVICEABILITY
Maintenance costs are reduced with heat retention aprons that prevent asphalt from adhering to the tire surface. Routine maintenance can be performed efficiently with a full tiling hood.Â
